Business Problem:
Being the largest distributor of pharmaceutical products in the state of Tamil Nadu with over 22,000+ products and over 1300+ outlets (customers), the client wanted to start data analysis projects in their organization to streamline operations and reduce costs across the company.

Main Objectives:
Understand the sale of products across categories, branches, regions, and salesman
Revenue vs. Margins vs. Expenses reports to understand revenue flow and fund allocation
Goals and targets to be set for branches, salesman, and product categories
Impact Created:
Viewing reports periodically brought uniformity in data consumption across the company Scheduled reporting/ ad hoc reports every month that captured the overall performance of the company reviewed during weekly/ monthly meetings with board/ upper management and employees
Important metrics captured and standardized across all branches: Quantity, revenues & margins earned across categories, margin per product, margins per salesman, new customers acquired, and so on
Targets set for branches, salesman, customers and reviewed every week and at the beginning of every month
The seven-day working week shifted to 6 day working week (Sunday was made a holiday) after analysis showed that 6 day working week was most efficient for the company as a whole (margins vs. expenses analysis)
Helped reverse faulty and erroneous data capturing on the company's cloud-based software to help facilitate reporting and data analysis
Trained in-house team on MS Office and on statistical methods to enable team to operate efficiently and error-free
